Scratchin' an Itch

I thought I had finished this little guy, but decided he was just not done yet. Fortuneately he wasn't spray sealed yet, so I worked on him again. Now I think he looks much better...definately fluffier!

Jaguar Cub

I've been busy since my last post. I entered the Spring show for the Hudson Artists. Put in 8 pieces and sold 6; plus 2 commissions! That was so encouraging, that I decided to get busy and start some new pieces.

I was viewing some photo's on Flickr and saw one that caught my eye. I contacted the photographer Tambako and requested permission to use his photo of a jaguar cub as reference. He was really nice about it and said okay. He also liked the final result.






Here is the cub when I finished scratching it ... and again after I added color.

Tigers

Decided to do something with more color than I'm used to. Here are some tigers, done in pastel on slate Ampersand board.
